You see, the only downside of having Scribd is that my reviews at DA are now more and more positive. I am saying this not because I dislike writing positive reviews, quite the contrary, but I want to share what I like and dislike and with having Scribd, I just *cannot be bothered* to finish or not to skim most of this crap. I just cannot be bothered and I won't do DNF review for DA. Anyway, thanks for listening, I can allow myself to ramble on and on here.
For example, what is this? First of all, it was my fault because the cover does not say book two and I clicked on it and started reading. However on Amazon it does say book two, so oopsie, my fault. Half a story - they broke up in book one, now Arthur is badly hurt and his lover comes back to him because you know, he realized he cant live without him and vice versa.
But hey, I remembered now that this writer does lots of series, so whatever, it would not have been a problem. Dear God, he is an Idiot FBI agent - in the previous book his partner was killed by supposedly serial killer (stay tuned - if you decide to read this one you will get why I said supposedly) and the turned on its head explanation and the new killer did not even make sense to me in this one. But once again whatever.
Hey, there is supposed to be a conflict or something between them besides oh I now don't want to stay in the closet and I now want to stay with you, right? WRONG. There is a new and "unexpected" killer around, I guess.
And we get gems like this:
"He took his time despite his erection trying to drill a hole in Patrick's leg. He wanted this time to be special. It symbolized their commitment, their plan to stick together and be as one".
Oh look. Anal sex as a central moment of their relationship. Color me surprised.
