SPOILER ALERT!

Reading update - 58% UPDATE done

The Dangerous Seduction - A.N. Bond

I am reading this one because I was very intrigued by Kate's review. The biggest surprise so far? I do not dislike the characters nearly as much as I thought I would. I mean, sure Ryan cheats and the cheating is very in your face so to speak. But there is no demonizing of the fiancé (so far anyway) and he spills his guts after two months. More importantly, he *knows* he is doing a wrong thing and he does not look for moral excuses for that. And at least he did not spend 25 years doing that (still get angry every time I remember Sarah Black's book where hero did that and was all high and mighty). I guess the fictional cheaters are not on my "dislike by default" list - they could be but it is on case by case basis. Now if later on they will become murderers and/or rapists, then we can talk ;).

Was I supposed to dislike them because of their profession? Since I belong to that profession (totally different area but still the same profession) I am afraid I cannot do that either :).

Very engaging book otherwise so far and most temptation is the one I always have - to look at the last page.

UPDATE:

finished, no full review since I decided to write this one up for DA.  But  I really liked it yes - very different.

now, the ending. I did not find it was a cliffhanger, but it was not entirely satisfactory to me either - not because of the epilogue but because too many questions left. I do not mind some open threads but this was too much, and that is why if I were to place a bet, I would say yes, sequel is coming. If only some smaller questions were answered for sure, I would not need a sequel. I mean, hello mystery?
