I finally finished this book. I do recognise a thing of beauty when I see it and this book is it, but boy was it hard for me to finish it. I usually finish a book in two three days maximum, this one took me probably a ten days to read. I read thirty, forty pages a day and picked another one.I guess at some point in time I need to reread it in russian translation and I will probably appreciate it even more.
I loved William's character, I really appreciated murder mystery, but I found myself being lost from time to time in theological debates in a sense that I was not able to follow fully.
I loved that books and love of knowledge were at the heart of the story, I really loved it.
