As a mystery I enjoyed this work very much. I liked that it was a bit confusing at first, liked that the writer kept me guessing at least for a while till the little puzzle of who the main villain is was revealed. Romance is absolutely a secondary storyline, be warned, mystery is front and center and I really did not mind that, at all. I love romance, but I am okay with mystery and very little romance too and here I thought what was shown - the beginning of the possible happy romance - was done well and I liked both guys. I definitely wanted to get to know Carlo better, but as I said, I approached the story as mystery predominantly and as a mystery it worked for me.
Did we really need that sex scene at the end?
